NoWear coated bearings

  • NoWear is a wear-resistant carbon coating that can be applied to the rolling elements and inner raceways of bearings (type suffix L7DA) or to the rolling elements only (type suffix L5DA).
  • The physical vapor deposition process applies a wear-resistant carbon coating. The thickness of the coating ranges from 1 to 3 μm, depending on the size of the bearing. The hardness of the coating is 1 200 HV10.
  • The NoWear coated bearing surface retains the toughness of the underlying material while incorporating the hardness, improved frictional properties and wear resistance of the coating.
  • During break-in, minute amounts of coating material are transferred to the opposing surfaces. This coating reduces friction and improves resistance to wear and dirt, even in bearings–NoWear coated bearings  where only the rolling elements are coated.
NoWear coated bearings

Features and Benefits

  • Long service life
  • Withstands harsh operating conditions
  • Increased risk of smearing
  • Insufficient lubricating film
  • Sudden load changes
  • Light loads
  • Rapid speed changes
  • Vibration and oscillation

  • NoWear coated bearings can offer new possibilities for existing applications that operate under harsh conditions. They can offer new design possibilities without requiring major design changes. Typical applications using NoWear coated bearings include
  • Paper machines
  • Marine and offshore applications
  • Fans
  • Compressors
  • Hydraulic pumps
  • Gearboxes
  • Hydraulic motors
  • NoWear coated bearings are not suitable for use in vacuum or other completely dry running applications. The coating does not act as an oxygen barrier and is therefore not recommended as a corrosion inhibitor.

Loads are defined by their direction. Loads perpendicular to the shaft are called radial loads and loads parallel to the shaft are called axial (thrust) loads.

Successful mounting is critical to the life cycle of your bearing. Proper bearing dismounting can safeguard other machine components and maintenance workers.

  1. The bearing is at the heart of all rotating equipment, and the condition of the bearing often reflects how well a machine is running.
  2. Learn more about bearing damage and bearing failure – and how to prevent it.

Sure, free samples are available for stock products if you can pay for the shipping cost.

We have regular stock for standard bearings that can be shipped right after your payment. It will take 15-60 days for new production order, which depends on your order quantity.

  1. All our bearings are 100% inspected strictly before packing.
  2. If any defective products received, please provide photos and video to show us the problem and help us improve the quality.
  3. New products will be sent to you as replacement if the probelm is product quality.
